PlayBase Installation — Easier Than You Think
Watch the PlayBase Assembly Process
Assembly typically takes 2-3 hours with two adults. No specialist tools required — just a spade and a spirit level.
Free-Standing Frames (Medium, Large, Extra Large)
- Mark out the area — measure the frame dimensions plus 200cm safety zone on all sides
- Dig the anchor holes — 20-50cm deep at the marked leg positions
- Assemble the frame — follow BERG's included instructions (approx. 2-3 hours with two adults)
- Set the legs into the holes and backfill with soil
- Attach your chosen accessories
No concrete needed — the frame's weight and ground anchoring keep it stable.

Wall Frame
- Choose a solid structural wall — must be brick, block, or concrete
- Mark the mounting positions as per BERG's template
- Drill and fix the wall brackets
- Attach the frame to the brackets
- Add your accessories
Irish Soil Tips
- Clay soil (common in Cork, Dublin, Midlands): Works perfectly with the dig-in system — clay holds the legs firmly. Allow extra time for digging.
- Rocky soil (West Cork, Burren, Connemara): May need a pickaxe or professional help for the anchor holes.
- Sandy soil (coastal areas): Consider backfilling with a clay/gravel mix for extra stability.
